Dance moves me
like no other art form. It has the power to change more than the physical nature of the body. It can give rebirth to the soul
- revealing to the dancer worlds of opportunity waiting to be experienced, if the spirit of willingness is only there. For
me, the beauty and the power of dance come from the ability it possesses to totally and completely transform humanity. When
the body dances, the spirit soars to dimensions never before encountered. It is presented with countless opportunities to
let go of daily inhibitions, doubts, limitations, and fears. Dance, when allowed, ushers the mover into a realm in which possibilities
are endless - a space in which boundaries, both imagined and real, disappear.
It is for these reasons, and so many
more, that I dance. That I can not help but dance. And now I invite you to join me in the dance.

Dance classes don't usually require you to but a textbook. They do however, require you to have proper dance
attire. This dance attire is your text for this class. You have two full weeks to get all your dancewear. Start with
your shoes and work from there.
You can find dancewear from a number of places. I choose to get mine from THe Dancer's Closet. Located just off
of Little Road, "the Closet" offers a full range of dancewear - from shoes to leos to tights and accessories. The staff is
the best, going out of their way to ensure your dancewear needs are met. Plus, they offer a discount for all TCC students.
